Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, Barania Village as one of the World-class Tourism Villages

CARITA TODAY, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno praised Barania Village as one of the world-class tourist villages.

The combination of cultural and natural tourism in Barania Village, located in West Sinjai District, Sinjai Regency, South Sulawesi, amazed Sandiaga. He hopes that the Barania tourist village in the future can become one of the best tourist villages in the world.

This was conveyed by Sandiaga Uno during an audio-visual delivery session on the sidelines of the 2022 tourism village award assessment activity in Barania Village, West Sinjai District, Thursday (8/9/2022). Sandiaga apologized for being unable to attend West Sinjai because he was attending a Cabinet Meeting at the Bogor Palace.

While at the location, Sandiaga was represented by the Director of Destination Governance, Indra Ni Tua, who held a question and answer session and explained about the tourist village of Barania.


Indra said that the Barania tourist village in its development process has taken advantage of effective digitalization. "Because through digitalization, it will encourage and assist tourist villages in attracting tourists," he said.


Meanwhile, the Regent of Sinjai, Andi Seto Gadhista Asapa, hopes that with the establishment of this tourist destination, Barania can become one of the leading tourist destinations in South Sulawesi.

"This program is of course in addition to being a driving force for the village economy as well as a promotional vehicle to show the potential of tourist villages in Sinjai Regency for domestic and foreign tourists, as well as encouraging regions to be able to create new tourist villages that can revive the village economy in the future. "Hopefully the Regent Andi Seto, who was also accompanied by the Deputy Regent of Sinjai, Hj Andi Kartini Ottong, Chairperson of the Sinjai PKK TP, Hj Andi Nurhilda Daramata Seto.


After the presentation, it was continued with the signing of the inscription of the tourism village award to Barania Village and then a visit to Pattiroang Highland.
